Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure
The film revolves around a wide range of adventures that Bill and Ted will have to dream of establishing their own rock band, but the events threaten their dream of being lost. Ted's father decided to send him to the military school if he failed History. Things take a completely different course. A man from the future named Rufus comes to help them succeed in their studies, because keeping them together is the only guarantee for saving the future.

More than anything, the picture looks paltry and undernourished. Even the warts on Lincoln's face look slapped on.June 24, 2006
This is extremely silly, good natured, superficial stuff; a lot depends on whether you take to Bill and Ted's unique lingo (which contorts surfers' expressions) and their gormless behaviour.June 10, 2013
still relateable todayOctober 22, 2014
What really makes it all work are Reeves and Winter. They're such appealing, wide-eyed idiots that it's impossible not to pull for them. They make a great team.October 22, 2014
It dodges the pitfalls of message-heavy teen movies and skirts the spite of the dumb-and-dumber era it arguably helped birth. Add two innately loveable leads and you can see it takes some smarts to sell something quite this daft.October 22, 2014
Make no mistake, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure is not a satire of mindlessness; it's unabashed glorification of dumbness for dumbness' sake.September 16, 2014
A nonstop giggle from start to finish, this beguiling grab-bag of time-travel clichés, hard-rock music and Valley-speaking cool dudes is a flawless, purpose-built junk movie.May 30, 2007
Reeves, with his beguilingly blank face and loose-limbed, happy-go-lucky physical vocabulary, and Winter, with his golden curls, gleefully good vibes and 'bodacious' vocabulary, propel this adventure as long as they can.May 20, 2003
A painfully inept comedy.October 22, 2014
Though its one-liners elicit the occasional chortle -- when Bill and Ted don medieval armor, there's an obligatory heavy-metal joke -- the film doesn't engage, because its heroes don't engage with the historical characters.October 02, 2016
The script by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon is more clever in the small details than in the broad strokes.
