one of the best of the seriesJanuary 01, 2000
For a movie that begins with such promise, The Undiscovered Country ends with a whimper.February 09, 2006
Though patchy, this is a lot more fun than the disastrous Star Trek V.April 08, 2009
...mostly combines the interminable interstellar politics of the later Star Wars films with the slowest game of Clue you've ever played.February 17, 2010

Nice to see you in action for one last time, Captain Kirk.September 07, 2016
There are weaknesses here--especially when the climax becomes too packed and chaotic, and the goodby over-hasty. But Meyer and Flynn get a fullness back into the characters.December 01, 2009
Cold War-influenced exit of classic space crew.May 19, 2008

Meyer keeps his camera hopping and the production has a dark, atmospheric sheen that persistently suggest mystery and danger. Not the best of the series, but a suitable farewell.May 30, 2013
Not very great Star Trek, but it's such an impeccably made popcorn movie that it's just not worth it to pretend that it matters.
